WeGoCOD ("we", "us", "our") is a cash-on-delivery (COD) e-commerce operations platform used by businesses in Morocco and Egypt to receive orders, confirm them with customers, and manage delivery. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it, including data handled through the WhatsApp Business Platform.

1. Information We Collect

• Order & customer data our business users upload or receive from their sales channels: customer name, phone number, delivery address, city, ordered products, quantities, and price.
• Account data for our business users and their agents: name, email, phone, role.
• WhatsApp Business data: for numbers that a business explicitly connects, we access the business phone number and its settings/message templates, and the content of messages exchanged between the business and its own customers, solely to power those conversations inside WeGoCOD.
• Operational data: order status, call/confirmation outcomes, and delivery/shipping status.

2. How We Use Information

• To confirm cash-on-delivery orders with customers and manage the delivery process.
• To let a business's agents send and receive WhatsApp messages on the business's own connected number, so they can reply to customers, confirm orders, and provide support.
• To assign leads to agents, track order/delivery status, and produce operational reports for the business.
• We do not use WhatsApp data for advertising, and we do not use it for any purpose other than the business's own customer communication.

3. WhatsApp / Meta Platform Data

WeGoCOD integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta). We only access WhatsApp assets and messages for phone numbers a business owner explicitly connects to their WeGoCOD account. WhatsApp message content is used exclusively to display and manage that business's customer conversations. We handle this data in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

4. How We Share Information

• We do not sell personal data or WhatsApp message content.
• We share customer delivery details (name, phone, address) with the shipping/courier partner chosen by the business, only to fulfill and deliver the order.
• We may share data with service providers that host or operate our platform, under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain order and conversation data for as long as the business's account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal/accounting obligations. A business can request deletion of its data as described below.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and role-based permissions, to protect data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

7. Your Rights

Businesses and their customers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data. To exercise these rights, or to disconnect a WhatsApp number and remove its data, contact us using the details below.

8. Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data, email bousnathamza@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will remove the associated data within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
